This is NOT a bodyguard course. If you want to take a BG course, there are many companies out there offering those types of courses. This course is designed to teach you how to operate within a private security detail in the Green zone and in the Red zone (high threat environment).

The driving portion will cover the basic evasive driving skills (“J” turn, handbrake turn) and a few other techniques to help get you out of danger. We will focus on roles of each member inside that vehicle, 2 man, 3 man and 4 man teams. This is the most crucial aspect of PSD, you are vulnerable and must take the necessary actions to prevent, avoid or confront a threat to your team, your mission and/or your principle.

The most vulnerable point of your mission is the enbus/debus. You are out in the open, exposed and transitioning between mobility of a vehicle and the stability of a building. You are on foot and an easy target. We will show you how to limit your exposure and your vulnerability by giving you a set of standard operating procedures that will enable you to increase your chances of survival.

Communications is the key to success. Each of the members of the PSD must have a clear understanding of the mission and any changes or adjustments that need to be made while on the go. Certain contingency plans or alternate routes must be communicated clearly. You will also learn methods of surveillance and counter-surveillance, which will be sub-categorized in driving, enbus/debus, walking formations, communications and OPSEC (operational security).

At the end of the 10 day course, you will be tested in the field against experienced operators trying to sabotage your mission. These field tests along with the live fire immediate and deliberate action drills will ensure that “YOU” as a member of a PSD team, will not freeze when it matters most.
